The Damiano Lab

The Damiano Lab conducts externally funded research on health services and public policy research, specifically examining underserved populations’ access to and quality of primary care services. 

Some of our current research includes evaluating the Iowa Medicaid Expansion Program (The Iowa Health and Wellness Plan--IHAWP), developing and measuring a patient-centered dental home model of care, examining health care reform and health policy changes, and studying the impact of Iowa's child vision screening program.
